This lesson is the basis of creating a pirate story using ICT. The major learning areas are Technology and Enterprise and English; Viewing and Writing aspects.

Students acquire information regarding the history of pirate flags exploring the provided web links in the activity four. Using knowledge generated from electronically produced text they understand meanings of symbols and colours of pirate flags.
